Because all of the architectural details were white, this room lacked warmth and interest. The mantel was treated to look like Jerusalem travertine. The bookcases were wood grained to match the adjoining kitchen cabinetry. The columns were given depth with a 3 dimensional stone technique and punctuated with capitals and bases that complimented the accessories. Keeping with a neutral color palate, the result of these enhancements add as sense of sophistication and value to the home.
