Early planning meetings with the designer and builder were the key to creating this mantel. With the beautiful wood cabinetry as a frame, the idea was to create interest on this large mantel by utilizing different textures and techniques in monochromatic colors. The palate was chosen from the existing selections of marble, limestone, wall and trim colors already in the home. Having a clear direction, the builder constructed this structure with “chunky” and clean lined elements that would be consistent with the authenticity of stone. The result is sophisticated drama that adds value to this beautiful home while remaining neutral for any potential buyer.
