Despite its grand scale, this mantel was not the focal point of this expansive dining room. A subtle plaster was added to the vertical surfaces. The framing was treated to appear as finely crafted mahogany that matches the banquet table. Raised architectural details were added for interest and finished to give the illusion of cast bronze. Contrasted by a rich red wall color, its textures and dimensional details allow this fireplace to make a regal statement that is the central focal point of this home.
